San Francisco’s Museum of Modern Art is hosting a symposium in which 13 invited participants discuss the question: “Is Photography Over?”<\/p>\n

Rather than fear such questions (which you might if you’re a photographer or interested in being a photographer), I think it’s good to embrace and explore them–i.e., I think it’s a healthy exercise. You can see the participants’ initial written responses to the question here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

A number of the commentators state that it depends on what is meant by “photography” and what is meant by “over”. Let me try…<\/p>\n
