Michael Grace-Martin is a professional and fine art photographer living in upstate New York with his wife and two children. He has been pursuing fine art photography since 2003 and has been a professional photographer since 2006.
Michael's main style of photography--in both his fine art and professional work--has always been candid in nature. He is mainly drawn by the beauty and universality that can be captured by a still camera when trained on a series of authentic moments in a dynamic social environment. In short, his main interest in still photography is its ability to capture beautiful and compelling truths about life.
Michael presents much of his photographic work in black & white and sepia because of its tendency toward simplicity, universality, and its elimination of color as a distraction. However, in recent years, he has increasingly found that color can be used to achieve some of his photographic goals when used judiciously.
